Course StructureThe programme is made up of THREE compulsory modules PLUS a compulsory thesis assignment. On top of these, you will be required to study and successfully complete from FOUR TO SEVEN electives, allocated to the student by us based on your existing academic credentials.
A 10,000-word thesis must be submitted for the successful completion of the Postgraduate Diploma. A student not submitting an up-to-standard thesis will not be awarded the Postgraduate Diploma.
The thesis must be on a topic agreed with the student’s tutor and should have a Research bias. Students are expected to begin working on the thesis after their exams. A thesis proposal must be submitted to the Tutor long before the end of the programme on a special form provided by the Institute. Rules and Regulations for the preparation of the thesis are also provided to the student by the Institute.
The pass mark is 50% and student’s performance will be indicated on the Transcript. If the Thesis is not of an acceptable standard and the student has to re-submit, then he/she must pay an extra 85 Euros. Students are only allowed to re-submit once.
1. Bachelor or Advanced Diploma in Business Studies of CIM (BVI);
2. PG Diploma/Advanced Diploma of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK);
3. Any first degree from an internationally-recognised University;
4. Any reputable and recognised UK Professional qualification, such as Association of Chartered or Certified Accountants, Chartered Institute of Insurance, Chartered Institute of Bankers and others.
Please note that entrants to this distance-learning programme are preferably required to be in a managerial post.
Commencement of course
Students may apply for admission and start their studies anytime in the year.
Minimum period: 12 months
Maximum period: 36 months
Exams are held at approved Overseas Centres every JUNE and JANUARY. Students wishing to enter for the examinations MUST complete an examination entry form (EEF79) and send it to the Institute at least by 30th November for the January Examination session and 30th April for the June Examination session.
